Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains when and how you can get a refund.

Standard refund window

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have watched 3 or fewer lessons in that level.

To qualify:

  • Refund requested within 14 days of the original payment
  • Fewer than 4 lessons in the purchased level marked complete or watched substantially
  • Account in good standing (no violations of our Terms of Service)

This policy applies per level — buying Level 2 separately is a separate refund window from Level 1.

Academy Bundle (£620)

Because the Academy Bundle covers three levels at a discount, refunds work differently:

  • You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, only if no lessons in Level 1 have been started
  • Once any Level 1 lesson is accessed, the bundle is non-refundable
  • Partial refunds (e.g. refunding Levels 2 and 3 only) are not available

We recommend trying the free first lesson before purchasing the bundle.

Free trial

The free trial (Introduction lesson + Lesson 1) is at no cost. There is nothing to refund.

Instalment payments

If you've made the first instalment but not the second, contact us to cancel before the second payment falls due. The first instalment is refundable under the same 14-day / 3-lessons rule above.

Family Bundle and Bring-a-Friend (Level 1 only)

For Family Bundle (£400, 4 seats) and Bring-a-Friend (£125 second student) purchases, refunds follow the standard rule but must be requested by the original purchaser. If any seat has been redeemed and lessons watched, that bundle is non-refundable.

Bookings (weddings, conferences, church services)

Bookings are handled separately. Cancellation terms are agreed between you and Kayc at the time of booking confirmation. Booking inquiries through the website do not commit you to a payment.

How to request a refund

Email kaycacademy@gmail.com with:

  • The email address on your account
  • The level or bundle you purchased
  • The date of purchase
  • A brief reason (helps us improve, but not required)

We aim to respond within 3 working days and process approved refunds within 7 working days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe.

Disputes

If you believe a charge was incorrect or unauthorised, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Filing a chargeback with your bank before contacting us may delay the resolution.

Your UK consumer rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
